Announcers and Analysts

While I admit to having a good amount of age on me and understand times and styles change I find that I seldom enjoy listening to today's TV game announcers and even less to analysts.
For instance, I'm trying to watch Illinois and South Florida currently but am having a bit of a tough time listening to Dave Lamont but Mack Brown is simply awful.

When every game is on TV and not just two or three good ones on Saturday only as in the past you have a pool with talent spread too thin. The preponderance of broadcasts seems to have created a welfare system for previous football players.
