Nothing is wasted in nature. All must play their part as hunter, prey or scavenger to eat in order to survive. (cue nat geo music)

I don't think anyone is going to rush out and join the Big 12 yet. I would expect most of them to wait for better suitors or consider how they might reorganize.

If I were Colorado, I’d hold out for a B1G invite and maybe AZ or ASU

And now talking about adding Washington and Oregon. After all this, it might just be a decimation of Pac12. If that is the case I’d rather put a dagger in both B12 and Pac12 and take Washington and Oregon now and say hell with ND.

Why would the BT want Colorado, the Denver tv market maybe? Even that I think it is a stretch, since the Broncos rules that area in interest.

If we want any other Pac 12 teams, I would say Oregon and Washington. Oregon brings Nike and Washington has a big following in the Seattle area for tv. They both also have had good football teams over the last few years. Of course, we played Washington in the Rose Bowl during the Brees era.

Until Notre Dame says one way or the other, I don't think we would extend any other offers at this time.

👍. Yes, I think Oregon and WA are the two top teams/markets, with Stanford 3rd, with CO waiting on scraps. I also think that might appease NE as well (although I’m not sure how much say they have in the matter).

CU’s popularity compared to the Broncos is as irrelevant to the Gophers vs. the Vikings … if CU were in the Big Ten, BTN would get a lot of money from Denver cable companies immediately. Enough?? That’s debatable. But it’s an asset they bring, no question.

Colorado doesn’t bring that much to the table. Colorado is not likely to get any offer from the BIG. It really hurts them that their program has looked more like D-Haze Purdue than Brohm Purdue lately, let alone Mollenkopf Purdue.

Agreed. Poor facilities and bad track record on viewership. Recruiting has been… not good usually around 50th.

Denver market/eyes, but they would be 5th/6th after ND, Oregon, Stanford and WA

None of those schools are getting an invite.
I totally get why they wouldn’t …but…ASU/Tempe in 2008 was one of the best away game road trips I had in college and maybe the greatest weekend of my life.

Would make for a great away game trip every few years or so for the fan base so I wouldn’t totally hate it!

Not sure what you’re referring to. We played ASU in the Sun Bowl during the 2004 season and lost 27-23. That was in El Paso, TX. We didn’t play ASU in 2008. We had Oregon at home in 2008.

In 2005 Purdue played Arizona in Tucson and won 31-24. Kory Sheets had a good game as I recall.
