Actually I know of two that were shot. One woman without gun and without threat was push forward and killed. The identity of the shooter was withheld for some time due to not being an obvious, justifying use of lethal force that resulted in the killing. The second was a man in a crowd that was shot with a rubber bullet that went through his cheek and not his eye blinding him. Both compare to the depths of the Summer Of Love as minimal damage to the citizens relative to the deaths, destruction of property, looting, blocking roads and general burning and harassment as well as an officer being killed that lasted for months. Instead, members in various government positions encouraged the violence during the Summer Of Love, unlike another we know that pleaded for others to make their voices heard without violence as they protested the real insurrection that was going on.
