Brohm did not mention names or numbers, but he mentioned their could be academic casualties for the bowl game and beyond. Does anyone know how many is possible?

Brohm doesn't care about academics. He just wants to collect $$$. Purdue was never an academic institution anyway. Just a ponzi scheme to defrauded students of their loan $$$.

You seem confused. You know he didn’t take the Louisville job right? None of these statements apply to Purdue, but would make perfect sense for Louisville. Just making sure you are clear... Brohm is at Purdue, not Louisville.

the more you harass somebody, the more likely they are to return to do the same thing over and over again. Should you ignore their bad behavior/posts? if you report it to a mod, it would have disappeared sparing many from seeing the post and/or responding to it. .

Local radio station reports this morning that the academic casualty may be at the DT position. With Neal injured this a spot where it might really hurt.

If we lose Jones, would we have room for Williams? Or would we look for a JuCo DT..?

Reviere is kinda small to get lots of snaps as a DT. He’ll get pushed around.

I think he will be fine.

Replogle played at roughly 280 and was dominant. Not that reviere will play like that, but weight isn’t always important.

Grad Transfer or as close to ready made Juco Tackles are needed!!! CJB gave our back DT`s as much PT as he could and they were getting gashed..Recruits from 3 yrs ago are not panning out.
I know the knock on Juco`s..not my first choice either but our DT Corp at this time is in need of capable players with size and can eat up blockers....
With Neal out due to injury Auburn will bring plenty of run plays to the MC Bowl.

Williams is taking an official visit. So Brohm must have a scholarship available somewhere to offer him.

Would this be a situation where a freshman could play this one game while maintaining his red shirt status?

I know it's already been discussed that early enrollees can't play in a bowl game so we can't plug in GK. It sure would be nice though.

Likely Williams is in a wait and see approach to see where scholarships shake out at Purdue while IU is the fall back option. If a scholarship opens up, Williams likely jumps at the opportunity and if it doesn’t then he goes to IU who has room to take him.

Why do you think IU is a "fall back" option for Williams?

They look to just be the last man standing. Purdue is looking at scholarship room and if the academics work to take the risk of using a scholarship. No other school is having him for an official visit.

Because he’s wanted to play for Brohm at Purdue for over a year. The sticking point has always been if he can get eligible and gain admittance to the educational program he wants to major in. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that Purdue’s trajectory is looking much better than IU’s is. Purdue has a real FB coach and staff. IU has a glorified HS coach who is 10-15 (4-14 BIG). Gotta love 2-7 and 2-7 in BIG play. Brohm is 13-12 (9-9) and we’ve played by far harder non-conference schedules than IU. Brohm has beaten #2 OSU, #16 Iowa, and #23 Boston College. Brohm’s teams have played in 5 bowl games in 5 seasons and have gone 4-0 so far. Brohm is 43-22 as a HC.

It should not surprise anyone that Williams would prefer Purdue if he qualifies.

This.....all of this.

Keiwon Jones is a 5th year senior per the roster on Purduesports.com Don't think that's who Brohm was talking about. I had heard that there were as many as four who were potentially in academic jeapordy

That would make more sense

Purdue's trajectory looks a little better. I'll give ya'll that. But it's certainly not as great as ya'll think.

IUHDog, just an honest question: how many Old Oaken Bucket games do you think IU will win in the next 10 years?
