I like the pickup. Seems like a high upside guy and fills a need once Vince departs.
Melvin Buckley? Ugh. Hope that's not the case.Awesome!
His game reminds me of Melvin Buckley........
Looking forward to seeing him play in Gold and Black.
Love it, Haarms, Wheeler and possibly Eastern and Ondigo or Haase.
Boiler Up!
May want to educate yourself before speaking:Melvin Buckley? Ugh. Hope that's not the case.
rumor has it he can block shots without a Purdue uniform as well. Seriously, there is not enough video to know what he brings and his head to know what he may get. He does appear to be able to put the ball on the court and move without the ball being in his hands. He has nice size for a 3, but a little light which will be addressed. He had good programs interested in him and so he seems like a solid player. He is not going to make a name for himself his first year, but could turn into a really good player. He is a good addition, not great, but good addition to this team. I hope he becomes a great addition...From what I've seen, this guy can block shots. I'm really excited to see what he'll do in a Purdue uniform.
No offense, but just looked up Mel's Purdue stats, and he is what I thought he was: 5 points and 2 boards a game. Meh.May want to educate yourself before speaking:

Kid was a hell of a player......showed some potential at Purdue and then went on to do great things at South Florida.
Now an entertainer....confident kid with ability.

So why the negative comment, I see Wheeler as same potential and more.
Great statement. It holds true for our players and getting a degree from Purdue for the regular students as well.I like the potential of our two recruits. If they want it and work hard the ceiling could be very high. Welcome to our family.
Understood and I value your opinion....No offense, but just looked up Mel's Purdue stats, and he is what I thought he was: 5 points and 2 boards a game. Meh.
Could not possibly care less what numbers he put up on 2 awful south Florida teams, that got the coach fired.
Not being negative about wheeler, I'm just hoping for a lot closer to Vince than Buckley.
Stats matter, but i don't value numbers put up on a losing team all that much.Understood and I value your opinion....
IMO facts do matter and Buckley was a good player at SFU after urdue and Wheeler reminds me of Buckley.
Glad he s a Boiler!
always worth hearing again.
If Purdue can grab Eastern I would consider this a really nice class. A 5 , a 3 and a 1 or sometimes 2 that are versatile.Excited to have Wheeler, and yes he was recently starting to gain some national attention. Virginia, Boston College, Georgetown, etc..He fills a need with VE being a senior next year, but has the luxury of working under him.
Full court press on Eastern at this point-

Would CMP draw to an inside straight?
He probably wouldn't draw for an inside straight, but he would like to...Would CMP draw to an inside straight?
I was really hoping for this commitment. He appears to have a lot of potential.I like the pickup. Seems like a high upside guy and fills a need once Vince departs.
