Done some modest legwork the past few days on P.J. Fleck and come across some decent connections to him. The thought there is that he is going to be very careful with his next move, knowing he can maybe hold out for the ideal situation as opposed to the first big opportunity he gets. We don't know yet obviously if that's a direction Purdue is even going to go when the time comes - his success suggests it would at least merit some interest - but the thought here is that if Purdue shows interest, Fleck and his reps would be pretty diligent in checking out Purdue's situation, finding out about Bobinski, etc., before gauging how interested they are.

Not sure what the job market is going to look like for Fleck this year because there may not be a slew of Midwest openings and some schools he'd have natural connections to (Maryland, Illinois, Ohio State, Rutgers, etc.) are now spoken for long-term. But he does have leverage in the sense that he has a good situation at Western and can probably keep winning after this season. He seems very comfortable there. "They let me P.J. Fleck," he said in a story last week. Point is, he may not be in a hurry to leave and may not jump at the first Big Ten job that comes his way.

Very early in this process obviously, but just laying the groundwork at this point to gauge who might be interested if Purdue is interested in them.
