Starters in the Iowa game:

Defense:
CB - Mackey - 5th year
CB - Brown - Jr.
S - Grant - Jr.
S - Allen- Jr.
LB - Graham - Jr.
LB - Alexander - Sr.
LB - Douglas - 5th year
LB - Jenkins - R. Frosh
DL - George - Jr. (NFL)
DL - Deen - Jr.
DL - Johnson - Jr.

Subs:
Mitchell - Sr.
Brothers - Soph.
Kane - Soph.
Lewis - R. Frosh
Wahlberg - Soph.
Washington - Soph.
Kreul - R. Frosh
Sullivan - Jr.
Jefferson - Sr.
Austin - Frosh

This Defense will likely return 8 starters. Replacing a top 10 NFL pick is obviously a high hurdle.

Offense:
OL - Hartwig - Soph
OL - Long - 5th year
OL - Miller - Jr.
OL - Holstege - Soph.
OL - Witt - 5th year
QB - AOC - 5th year
RB - Doerue - Jr.
TE - Durham - Jr.
TE - Miller - Soph.
WR - Wright - Jr.
WR - Bell - Jr. (NFL)

EDIT: We will lose the 2 5th year OL and Bell. Good news is we finally have some OL depth.

Subs:
Sheffield - Soph.
Burton - Sr.
Plummer - Jr.
Thompson - Jr.
Anthrop - 5th year
Downing - R. Frosh
Kaltenberger - R. Frosh
Monnot - Soph.
Craig - Soph.
Bycznski - R. Frosh
Sullivan - R. Frosh

This is the best depth we have had in a decade. It wouldn't shock me to see 16 returning starters from this year, plus almost all key reserves across the board. This is what building a football program looks like. Finish out with a top 40 class this year, and build this momentum on the 2023 class. Love the pieces we have coming in the 2022 class, especially on that OL. Hit the portal to plug a couple more guys in. This is what program building finally looks like. Those 2019 and 2020 classes coming through.
