I really like the setup of Purdue's conference schedule (listed below). A few reasons why:
  • Only once does Purdue play back to back road games (the late January trips to Iowa and Minnesota)
  • Sure we start at Wisconsin, but this isn't Kaminsky's Wisconsin and it's over Winter break
  • After that game, Purdue's next four road trips are to Illinois, Rutgers, Iowa and Minnesota, not exactly a murderer's row
  • Given that, and the fact that Purdue's first five home games are against Iowa, Michigan, PSU, OSU and Nebraska, there is no reason Purdue can't be 8-2 or better heading into the February gauntlet
  • While the last 8 games are more difficult, they also provide opportunities for quality wins and 3 of those quality win opportunities are at home (MSU, Maryland and Wisconsin)

Purdue's conference schedule

Tuesday 29-Dec-15 Purdue at Wisconsin
Saturday 2-Jan-16 Iowa at Purdue
Thursday 7-Jan-16 Michigan at Purdue
Sunday 10-Jan-16 Purdue at Illinois
Wednesday 13-Jan-16 Penn State at Purdue
Monday 18-Jan-16 Purdue at Rutgers
Thursday 21-Jan-16 Ohio State at Purdue
Sunday 24-Jan-16 Purdue at Iowa
Wednesday 27-Jan-16 Purdue at Minnesota
Saturday 30-Jan-16 Nebraska at Purdue
Saturday 6-Feb-16 Purdue at Maryland
Tuesday 9-Feb-16 Michigan State at Purdue
Saturday 13-Feb-16 Purdue at Michigan
Tuesday 16-Feb-16 Northwestern at Purdue
Saturday 20-Feb-16 Purdue at Indiana
Saturday 27-Feb-16 Maryland at Purdue
Tuesday 1-Mar-16 Purdue at Nebraska
Saturday 5-Mar-16, or Sunday 6-Mar-16, Wisconsin at Purdue
