2024 Projection: Possible Starter at Kicker
Freehill has had an eventful career to this point. He started his career at Oklahoma State before transfering to Purdue in 2021. For two years he was primariliy a kickoff specialist, kicking off in 12 games total in 2021 and 2022 as he split duties with a number of other kickers. The departure of Mitchell Fineran after the 2022 season opened the door for him to serve as Purdue's placekicker in 2023.
That transition led to mixed results. He had an up and down season as he split attempts with Julio Macias. He finished the year just 6 of 11 on field goals and 21 of 22 on extra points, but it ended on a high note. Freehill hit his final three attempts of the year all in the Bucket game as he helped Purdue to a 35-31 victory.
It remains to be seen if he will keept he job in his final year. Freshman Spencer Porath from Brownsburg will challenge him for the role, but Freehill still has a spot as the kickoff specialist if needed.
