28.5 point dogs for saturday's game ? for board

Same guys in same positions, same defense, Card at QB even though he couldn’t get a score last game, just a matter of how bad it will be. Team not showing any indications of getting better, hopefully it will be over soon

I lost, but I put up a better fight than the Boilers did.
I was mad that I spent about a quarter of the game watching and not being productive elsewhere. Then I played catch in the yard with the kids. Went on a walk with the family and went to Costco before the UGA game (which pissed me off even more). Did help me forget about Walters for a few hours and feel productive.

Who knew Purdue football was a good encouragement to knock items off the honey do list?

Definitely takes me back to the Hazell regime where I’d schedule anything in the 3.5 hour window to not watch.

I think 28.5 is low. I'm an optimist, but my optimism has been beaten into submission this year except for the IL game, in which case, I got Charlie Brown'd.

Just like last week, when we actually moved the ball in the 1st Q, get down to the 3 and then completely crap the bed. Once we missed that gimme FG, I knew it was over.

I could see a 45-3 whipping.

Crazy part is…don’t get the punt blocked, get off the field on drives where you had them 3rd and 17 and 2nd and 19 and they eventually scored, and punch it in from 1st and goal from the 6…you’re probably down 14-7 or 10-7 at half in a game you realistically had no shot in. That’s a big boost to the teams psyche and maybe they come out inspired in the second.

Instead our defensive now turned offensive genius calls plays like we have a good unit on the team and puts us way behind the 8 ball.

This. There are so many better possibilities to spend a few hours each Saturday than watching Purdue football not be competitive. If Bobinski doesn't want Purdue football to be an option, then just remove it from your life. He's been very lucky with the support the crap product he's given us has received this season and last. And if he wants to bury his head in the sand and pretend that this coach is just another season away from doing anything good, then let him live that delusion and find something else to do or even another team to watch while he doubles down on a terrible mistake. When someone finally does hire someone of competence to replace Walters, they could well be starting at ground zero for fan support.

Can't fix this year. Just let it play itself out is all that we can do. I do think the sudden rise of I.U. football will motivate Purdue to change. If he gets another year then something else is in play.........ie the money is not available to spend or something in the contract. Purdue basketball will be good this year, but not the savior it was last year.

We have spent 7 years rebuilding the fanbase post Haze, and we can slide all the way back down the hill if we keep this dumpster fire coach … there are NO assistant coaches who can reverse this downward spiral.

Sounds like that's the way the athletic director prefers it. I say give him the apathy and lower ticket sales he's waiting for before making a change. And then continue to give it to them after they eventually make the change. They are taking advantage of their fan base because the fan base usually puts up with a lot before walking away. There have been few financial repercussions to the crap product they've provided the last two seasons. Fans continue to fill the stadium so clearly the money is the true priority here. If they can win, great. If not but they can pocket the BTN money and continue to bank ticket revenue, that's fine by them too. I think it's obvious that season tickets will tank next season but that's clearly what they're waiting on. Maybe eventually the fans won't jump back into the fray but until then they are going to milk all the patience they can out of it.

Anyone watching, donating, or showing up to games at this point is a problem

or worse, that's why I thought the 281/2 is low.

How do they get the 3?

The offense is no better with the head coach calling the plays either. Well 107 passing yards last week was impressive.
