When we lose Loyer & Smith we sure will need some new studs. Hopefully, we can land this kid and he can help lead us to another championship.
This kid is legit…put up 40 earlier this year.
Comes from a great bball family. Two sisters on purudes team, parents coach the girls team at south bend Washington. Apparently, his sister who is currently in HS (going to Purdue next year) just put up a quintuple double:
14 points, 18 rebounds, 12 assists, 11 steals and 10 blocks.
And she didn’t play much second half.
I think I read that he put up 50 in a recent game.

Kira the 6'5 PG is ranked #1 in Indiana girls HS BB while SR3 is ranked #1 in Indiana boys for the 2026 class. Heads up there are 3 younger ones to follow these 4 Renyolds. I am addicted to watching SR3. There will be no freshman learning curve. He is game ready now there is no higher basketball IQ unless you count Kira. SR3 reminds of E'Twaun they are about the same size and just handle themselves the same. Lowkey until they hit the court. ICYDK both mom and dad coach SB Washington girl's dad is the HC. Do not count him as a done deal. Coach Shrews is all over him and IZZO is close behind. We do have the Jaden Ivey train going for us. I would call it a tossup between these 3 schools with many more in the hunt including Duke, NC, Kentucky and Oregon.
I really hope we get him, use selling point that he will take over Smith's spot. OB52, do you think Ertel is legit?

Yes. I think 2 younger sisters and another boy that may be the youngest. I think those 3 are several yrs younger.
He can see how paint allows his PG to dominate and dictate the game.

Glad the eldest didn’t like Maryland so transferred to Purdue and the 2nd de-committed from Maryland when that happened and headed to Purdue. Now it’s a family affair with 3 sisters so far. Would be great if Steven came here too
I hope this isn't another recruit we were early on and seemed to be a lean for Purdue but end up elsewhere.

Purdue would have 2 PGs in Cox and Ertel. Colvin, Harris and West (who Paint loves-underrated, no AAU). So that would make 4 SGs. Harris might be considered a CG! Reynolds would give Purdue a very bright future. How long is Izzo going to coach. MS would have more PT for him and seems to be the only guard they are recruiting.
SR3 is a combo guard and a very good one. You can’t have enough of those and in todays landscape of NIL, coaches (and fans) have no clue (unfortunately) who will be on the team even next year, let alone 2 😞
I just don't want to lose another 'Gary Harris' type of player to Izzo. I love having the Moore and Ivey type of player wearing a Purdue uniform.
Noticed Sterling Carter retweeting this and pointing out the benefits of playing at Purdue.
Sporty! He had a short stay - enjoyed his time as a Boiler.
Kids dad played at Texas and is the GM of their program now. I haven't seen anything on him in a while, but in the past it was said that this kid was a perfect fit at Purdue and it was a legit possible destination for him.
But with pops as gm for UT…not looking likely for us haha.

No disagreement that Izzos “recruiting” is pretty much looking at who CMP likes, then trying to poach them….
I’m comfortable that the combination of Painter’s honesty and Purdue’s demonstrated success clearly shows where top-shelf Indiana high school talent needs to be…..
Last time I had web contact with Sterling he was coaching and recommended this book to him if he likes quotes

Agree. I don't think there are any must get recruits. But after the Big 3 leave.....even after all that winning, I don't think anyone here will be tired of winning (unlike the losers to the South).
Thus, hope he comes here, and brings us another B10 championship. You know CMP doesn't land too many top rated players, but EVERY TIME he does, there comes another championship. 23? Now? Who knows it's a bunch. So many I lose count....maybe wrong.
Winning,with CMP.....It's like a guarantee.
