How could anyone decommit on the greatest high school coach in college football?Gi'Bran Payne, a 4* RB out of Ohio just decomitted from IU. He had a Purdue offer, so the staff may recontact him. He might just be trying to follow the IU RB coach who went to ND though.
The plan is unfolding nicely for a breakout season.looks like a heavy Spiegel load this fall
And a year ago everyone was saying the same thing about Purdue and how great Tom Allen (🤡) was.Wait until spring practice ends. I tried to tell the Indinia guys a few months ago that players and coaches were looking to bail out.
IU granted his release. I didn't read anywhere that they put any restrictions on his destination, but maybe they did.He signed his NLI. I doubt they would have done that for him to commit to purdue.
Each case is different. Wonder what his real story is? Time for Purdue to focus on our existing RBs and aim for a H.S. player or two that wants to be here and develop them.Gi'Bran Payne, a 4* RB out of Ohio just decomitted from IU. I have no idea if there is any info on success rate of transfers, but this guy is not a transfer. He is in the class of 2022.Each case is different. Wonder what his real story is? Time for Purdue to focus on our existing RBs and aim for a H.S. player or two that wants to be here and develop them.
Is there reliable NCAA data showing transfer players as a whole and how many become performers?
They did get the number 2 JuCo punter. A key element in the Walt Bell offensive planning
He isnt on campus yet.Just imagine how heartbroken he must be being beat out in spring practice by Spegal! He probably could face the mirror! The shame. The agony. The awkwardness being beat on the depth chart by Spegal
That's how dominate Spegal is.He isnt on campus yet.

....and be broke by December after betting it all on a winning IUFB season.Whats the joke.
Four people: an Inbred IU fan, Santa Clause, the Easter Bunny and a player that tackled Spegal for a loss come upon a pot of gold, who gets it? The inbred IU fan as the rest don’t exist
They dont bet on that. If it were a true inbred IU fan it would be a bet on ND to win a championship....and be broke by December after betting it all on a winning IUFB season.
Spegal, Rip Van Winkle, and Methuselah walk into a bar. Who gets carded?Whats the joke.

Sounded like he was close to McCullough who left. Plus a handful of other coaches. He said “relationships weren’t the same and kind of faded. There wasn’t much communication there and it didn’t feel as good anymore.” That’s a huge loss. They had the transfers coming in recently which probably doesn’t feel warm and fuzzy to someone who probably expected to get some major playing time early. How many guys decommit after signing LOI? Seems kind of rare.
Doug van dyke’s best friend’s cousin could have a grandson in Idaho in 30 years and there would be people here like “well, wonder if we can finally make good .. we did recruit his grandfathers cousin’s best friend when tiller was coach.”He signed his NLI. I doubt they would have done that for him to commit to purdue.
The WR we got from Iowa might be the first instance.Doug van dyke’s best friend’s cousin could have a grandson in Idaho in 30 years and there would be people here like “well, wonder if we can finally make good .. we did recruit his grandfathers cousin’s best friend when tiller was coach.”
honestly these posts have always made me curious. Have we ever recruited someone who didn’t come here and then came to Purdue at some later point.. who was actually a good player for purdue?
Yeah after years of “ohhh we recruited him 4 years ago .. wonder if he will come here” with 350 playersThe WR we got from Iowa might be the first instance.
Well this guy is not a transfer he’s a de-commit. And yes we have had success with recruits who committed elsewhere and then reopened their recruitment. Isaac Haas for one and Rondale Moore is another.Doug van dyke’s best friend’s cousin could have a grandson in Idaho in 30 years and there would be people here like “well, wonder if we can finally make good .. we did recruit his grandfathers cousin’s best friend when tiller was coach.”

I guess I think of it differently when they sign somewhere else .. but maybe in this new era I shouldn’t.Well this guy is not a transfer he’s a de-commit. He is something in between. He actually signed there.Well this guy is not a transfer he’s a de-commit. And yes we have had success with recruits who committed elsewhere and then reopened their recruitment. Isaac Haas for one and Rondale Moore is another.
Yes, but your sarcastic diatribe didn’t really have much relevance when you were talking about someone coming to Purdue at some later time yada yada.I guess I think of it differently when they sign somewhere else .. but maybe in this new era I shouldn’t.
You guys carry on and for every single example you can name there are hundreds of others where it’s about as relevant as me discussing a high school ex who just got divorced in upstate New York… yeah and it’s been over since 1994 lol…Yes, but your sarcastic diatribe didn’t really have much relevance when you were talking about someone coming to Purdue at some later time yada yada.
Oh I will agree with that, but the post I was responding to made no sense whatsoever in regards to this thread. He is something in between. He actually signed there.
I have no idea if this guy will be any good, but what exactly is wrong with discussing a player who our coaches wanted and who is now available once again? Not to mention those same coaches are still looking for a RB and that RB decommitted from our rival. You guys carry on and for every single example you can name there are hundreds of others where it’s about as relevant as me discussing a high school ex who just got divorced in upstate New York… yeah and it’s been over since 1994 lol…
Who was the last player who we recruited.. who signed with Someone else and then came here and was good?
Haven't the last 2 Heisman winners been transfers? Each case is different. Wonder what his real story is? Time for Purdue to focus on our existing RBs and aim for a H.S. player or two that wants to be here and develop them.

His Twitter post tells the story. No relationship with the remaining staff. Gone. Not sure I would even want him now, as funny as it is to see this guy post publicly there is no love lost we don’t need that attitude in the locker room. Each case is different. No, but prior to them, 3 in a row were. Baker, Kyler and Burrow.Haven't the last 2 Heisman winners been transfers?
