Nice to see many of the Big Boy teams having worthy opponents instead of directional teams In the first weekend games. Many close games and a couple of upsets. So who was overrated and underrated, IYO?

Most overrated in my mind was Washington. Scheduled a patsy at home and lost. Oklahoma looks pretty soft too. They can be had. Iowa looked pretty strong or was it Indiana is that bad?????

Clemson - overrated
IU - overrated
OU - way overrated
North Carolina - way overrated
LSU - overrated

It seems like Oklahoma has been this way for several years now. They regularly score 50 while giving up 40+. That's most of the Big12, really. But especially Oklahoma.

I never got the UNC hype?
They lost 10 games the past two seasons and lost their two best WRs, two best RBs, and best defensive player. People kept talking about how their entire OL was back…but the OL was the weakness of the team, so returning a bad OL is not a good thing.
I said preseason I think they lose 3-4.

Indiana was WAY overrated. Them being ranked top 10 in some polls was utterly ridiculous.

Iowa State, being 7th, was a joke too. They should get jumped, but won’t because they are the media darlings this year.

ND looked pretty suspect last night for a 9th ranked team...

They should have won by 25+.
Up by 18, FSU has 4th down inside their own 30 & ND misses the tackle in the backfield. They make that play they go up 4 scores & FSU quits.
The first 3 quarters they ran a 4-3 and had like 7 sacks. Then the 4th Q they switched to the 3-3-5 (which I’ve always hated), taking off the strength of the team, and gives up three straight drives. Horrible.

Its the classic situation of learning a lot in game 1, but still getting the win. I would bet that is their worst performances of the year on D. Getting out of that environment with a win is good enough.

Purdues o line needs to step it up a lot before the ND game or Plummer will be running for his life.Keeping Jack Craavack in for Purdue as a blocker may be something they will have to do.

Unless Marcus Freeman gets crazy & goes back to the 3-3-5 again. Then Purdue can just do what FSU did, which is run all day. FSU OL isn’t good, but you don’t have to be when blocking 5 versus 3. And FSU went hurry up on purpose so ND couldn’t sub the 3 DL out. They were exhausted, and FSU didn’t substitute for entire drives so ND couldn’t either. I think ND should have called a TO just to sub on the 3rd & 4th down plays. Get stops there & the game is over.
