They can't defend us. Just gotta keep attacking

Haas playing very well early... not sure that was a foul

Iowa State (5) v. Purdue (4) Game Thread (NCAA Tournament Midwest)

That gives me some hope. Purdue getting good looks, ISU just hitting contested shots. I would think the open looks will be a better sign for us as time goes on, but we'll see.

Dang, Biggie clearly the best player on the floor. Love seeing him and Haas hook up. Let's go Boilers!

So how is that ACC / Big East juggernaut looking?

Let's compare top seeds as of now: ACC- UNC (still in), Duke (Still in), UL (still in), FSU (out, 2nd round), Virginia (Still in), Notre Dame (out, 2nd round), Va Tech (out, 1st round), Miami (out, 1st round), Wake Forest (out, play in game). I think that's it. Their top 3 teams are still in...

    Purdue vs. Iowa State Predictions

I never checked the actual distance, but was reading about a few of the ISU players who are from the Milwaukee area and that ISU seemed to have the most fans there last night. Maybe it will be a wash.

    Purdue vs. Iowa State Predictions

Alright, who do you got? I think 99% of us expected a win over Vermont, and thankfully, we got that monkey off our back after 5 years without an NCAA tourney win. Tomorrow nights game would seem a lot tougher. Looking back at their games, they lost to Gonzaga, Cincy, at Baylor, and Kansas by...

    Watching Iowa State....

We can definitely beat them, but they have a lot of things in their favor. Should be a fun game to watch. Hopefully.

So would Princeton be the 3rd or 4th best team in the ACC?

I'm not sure how many ACC fans are on here, but when you spout off stupid crap about the ACC not being very good, you're going to get called out on it. So far, the B1G has been about what most expected. Their top team won, 2nd and 3rd best teams were upset and good for NW, they won a toss up...

    VE

Definitely player of the game tonight. He was a stud. The reason he tends to be "underrated" is because he has too many no shows. Let's see if he can keep the consistency up against ISU Saturday

So would Princeton be the 3rd or 4th best team in the ACC?

You're basing this off of two 5 seeds and an NIT team? And the two 5 seeds won, unlike us as a 5 last year? Brilliant.

So would Princeton be the 3rd or 4th best team in the ACC?

Pretty hard to argue that the ACC is not the most top heavy league. I would guess they will have more S16 and elite 8 finalists than any other conference. B12 and Pac12 could be close behind then Big East and SEC. Not sure of a better way to measure "who's better" but based on seeding, ACC...

WTHR in Indy reporting Crean is out ...

This really is crappy for us. IU can land top players in part due to name. Add in a really good coach (CTC was ok) and IU can be very good. That said, they've had several since Knight and no one has been overly special, so I'm not too worried about it at this point.
