I see no improvement on the offense. I do see improvement on the D. If the offense was playing to expectations we'd have 5 wins.

You could copy and paste that comment for the last 10 years! Hope and Hazell’s teams almost won a lot more games if not for their famous 4th qtr collapse and mistakes and bad offensive lines! When is Purdue ever going to learn success starts on the line, not at the QB position. Recruiting starts in building the line, not in signing 2 billion 4 star DBs! uW and Iowa rarely have anything better than a 3 star Qb or 3 star Rb. Yet their offensive line makes them look like all Americans and they win games! Rather than having a fancy passing attack, shouldn’t winning be the #1 priority?
Walters issue is he chose poorly for his first OC. Defense might end up good but this offense never will.
If he doesn't course correct quickly as in fire after this year, he's going to be packing his own bags soon enough.
Is it the defense or the poor offenses we have played. Iowa offense is poor add on their 2nd string QB, Nebraska offense is bad the list goes on.
I mean to be fair other than our one frosh legacy safety our DBs are pretty bad. I'm also assuming he will convert one or two to "linebackers."
I'm more concerned with oline, QB, WR, and RB right now. This is one of the worst offense in the country while the defense is borderline mediocre which is a huge difference. If the offense were borderline mediocre we might have 1-2 more wins.
