Yesterday's game...
PJ: in 1 minute of play had 2 turnovers and 2 fouls.
Bryson: in 3 minutes of play, had 1 assist, 1 turnover, and 2 fouls.
Basil: in 1 minute of play, was 0-2 from the field, and 1 rebound.

Had they played 40 minutes:
PJ would have had 80 turnovers and 80 fouls.
Bryson would have had 33 assists, 33 turnovers, and 66 fouls.
Basil would have been 0-80 and 40 rebounds.

Great to see their minutes continuing to reduce. Those three would not be playing at all in the Keady system of upperclassmen getting all of the minutes. Something to say for that system, unless you are a true stud...which we do not recruit because at Purdue supposedly defense wins (no stud wants to play at a school that prioritizes defense over offense). Since Matt can't recruit the stud players, nor could Keady for the most part, then maybe Matt should give considerable thought to returning to the Keady system. If he were to do that then the players getting the most minutes would be:
Octeus, Hammons, Davis, and Stephens. Then I would add Edwards to this mix since he is the most gifted of the remainders. I would like to see these five play at least 32 minutes each a game and allow those five to build team chemistry (which this team seems to lack). Just a thought...
