Tracy Abrams lost for the Illini again

Having had an athlete go through something similar with Rob, you can only feel bad for the young man. This definitely is a blow to the Illini. He just fought back from an ACL tear to blow out his Achilles.

This s really too bad for the kid. He is a good guy with plenty of talent. I know it will affect the Illini basketball team this year, but they will just reload next year and go on. For Abrams, this could be the last chance to do something significant in basketball. Losing the experinece of 2 years of playing, and having these kinds of injuries will make it extremely unlikely he will ever contribute at the level his talent indicated he might.

I sincerely hope I am wrong and he comes back next year like a loaded cannon, and has a great year.
