This is how CRT got into schools

Dude, we've been through all of this several times. CRT IS NOT IN K-12 SCHOOLS. The sad thing is when K-12 schools teach certain aspects of black history, the right wingers call it CRT without knowing what CRT means so that their white kids won't learn about some of the bad things white people did within the history of the US. For the sake of argument if some schools are teaching that black people are the oppressors and white people should be ashamed or whatever y'all's talking points are, that is not CRT. These right wingers used the excuse that it is CRT so that their kids won't learn black history. These folks even tried to ban books about Rosa Parks for goodness sakes. `

Just like the Ernie Hall thread someone posted on the basketball forum. The same folks responding, twisting themselves into knots trying to deny what happened to Ernie Hall was racist.

Did you even watch the video or did you just pop in here to give another uninformed response?

No they didn't. That's the biggest lie about this entire thing. Sure there was a book about Rosa Parks that was being denied, but there are about 10 other books about Rosa Parks in the school library. So it had nothing to do with not teaching history, it had to do with whatever perversion of history that particular book had in it, which is what most of the CRT proponents are trying to do. Much like the idiotic 1619 book.

Rosa Parks’ story is simple. There is only one version of her story. No need to ban any book about her.

They didn't ban a book about her. The company that prints the books removed any reference to race. Their excuse was to abide by the new laws of Florida. The state of Florida responded saying that by their removal of the references of race they were NOT abiding by any law in Florida and that it was Florida law to teach about race as it happened.

So if you ask me, the company acted stupidly and caused an issue where there wasn't one.

That's because the Florida book banning laws, or whatever the laws are called are poorly written. Some entities are doing preemptive strikes to not get penalized for breaking the law. Over the last few years, there have been several attempts to ban Rosa Parks and even MLK Jr books like this one in PA. Most of these bannings or attempted bannings are in red districts.

No, what's being poorly written are all of the articles on the issue. Media outlets are being careless with the word banned. It's not banning a book on a subject when the publisher is the one that messed up the message in those books. You'd be bitching about Florida trying to erase black history if they allowed those books in. It's lose lose for Florida. The media lies about how it's being handled and if they (Florida) handled it differently, people like you would scream about erasing history.

It wouldn't surprise me one bit that the publishing company is run by some libtard that did this just to create an issue out of it.
