Walters was not available to the media this week, but did do his weekly radio show in Carmel this evening. A few notes on what Walters talked about:

- During the bye, Purdue held developmental practices for freshmen and guys who haven’t been on the field much.

Players who are in the main rotation did more recovery stuff in the weight room.

- Tyrone Tracy Jr. initially tweaked his groin ahead of the Iowa game, then was held out against Ohio State. Shared the Boilers RB is feeling good now.

A potential return looks to be in the cards for next Saturday’s game at Nebraska.

- OL Luke Griffin suffered almost the exact same injury as Marcus Mbow, who is out for the season. Walters didn’t explicitly say it, but unsurprisingly that Griffin will likely be out for the year as well.

- Walters identified offensive line, wide receiver and cornerback as potential areas of needs out of the transfer portal after the season.

- Walters expects true freshman tight end George Burhenn to see more playing time down the stretch.

- Admits he probably should have pulled Hudson Card in the Iowa game with his injury looking back.

Also made it a point to say the wide receiver corps hasn’t played to the level they are capable of in recent weeks.
