Greetings from Ross-Ade Stadium. Where's the sun?

Sun or no sun, the Old Oaken Bucket is on the line. And Purdue will try to win the cherished bauble for a third season in a row.

This is Purdue's final game. So, why not let it all hang out? Perhaps we will see some ... trick plays!!

Three keys for Purdue:

1. Contain Peyton Ramsey. He is a savvy signal-caller who has played a lot. And Ramsey can make plays with his feet. Purdue needs to keep him in check and make Ramsey throw to win. Yes, IU has a lot of good wideouts. Still, make Ramsey try to find them with his passes.

2. Throw to Brycen Hopkins. A lot. This will be the fifth-year senior’s final game as a Boilermaker. Let him go out with a bang. There is no better tight end in the Big Ten—yet Hopkins wasn’t named to the Mackey Award final top three. Let him take out his frustrations on a vulnerable Hoosier defense.

3. Protect QB Aidan O’Connell. This loops into the previous key. Really, if O’Connell gets time to throw and can work unencumbered in the pocket, he is effective. The Indiana defense has been average, at best, this season. O’Connell’s accuracy could prove effective.

Picks to click:

Offense: RB King Doerue. I am gonna go out on a limb and say the true freshman gets his first 100-yard rushing game of the season. (His season-high is 94 vs. Minnesota.) What a way to cap his debut.

Defense: S Navon Mosely. This will be the senior’s final game. Why not get a pick to celebrate? He figures to be busy in the back end with IU throwing to its litany of good wideouts led by Whop Philyor.

Injury reminder: Don’t think we’ll see Lorenzo Neal or Rondale Moore. Big shock, right? Same goes for Cornel Jones and Jared Sparks.
