I don’t remember what thread or what poster brought it up to me but they mentioned you could see the conference do away with East/west divisions and just have a few protected games every year in football once UCLA and USC officially join.
I like that idea of having 3 protected games and thought I’d try figuring out what each team would get. Here’s what I came up with (rivalries or trophy games in bold)
Illinois - Northwestern, Ohio St, Purdue
Indiana - Purdue, Michigan St, Rutgers
Iowa - Minnesota, Nebraska, Wisconsin
Maryland - Penn St, Rutgers, UCLA
Michigan - Michigan St, Northwestern, Ohio st
Michigan St - Indiana, Penn St, Michigan
Minnesota - Iowa, Nebraska, Wisconsin
Nebraska - Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin
Northwestern - Illinois, Michigan, USC
