Hello,

It's stopped raining, for now, we'll see about later.

Welcome to our official thread - the rest will be deemed unofficial and void (opinions there won't matter) - where we have rules. RULES!

Injuries are part of the story, unfortunately for Purdue. Da'Wan Hunte, Austin Larkin and Jimmy Herman are in street clothes. Herman must have been injured on Thursday, because he was out there practicing on Tuesday and Wednesday. Not sure what the problem is, but think it might be shoulder; he's had trouble with that.

Hunte hurts, especially today. UC can throw the ball around a little, and he's Purdue's best coverage guy. Not only that, but there's a steep drop-off to the next guy. Have to wonder whether we'd see more Josh Hayes than Tim Cason as this game goes on. The fourth corner, it seems, is David Rose, at least per Purdue's warmups right now. But Rose has been deep on the depth chart this year. We'll see if Purdue would do that.

Hunte just didn't look good during practice, couldn't push off when changing directions. And it's his closing speed that might be his best attribute. Can't play that position if you can't move.

So the defense is down three guys, which is concerning. We expect to see UC do what most teams should do, spread the defense out, making Purdue's matchup put a bunch of DBs on the field and then run up the middle. It's what I would do. And then they might bunch up on passing downs and go play-action.

But UC turns the ball over a ton, so maybe that's the defense's key to winning. We'll see. Have to wonder if Tommy Tuberville goes to Gunner Kiel at some point if his offense struggles. How can he sit on the bench?

Field looks really good. Can't imagine the water being a big problem.
