12:30pm EST - Nebraska vs Northwestern (Neutral Site: Dublin, Ireland... for some reason) - Fox
A Big Ten West match-up featuring two teams looking to rebound from disastrous 2021 seasons. Northwestern hopes to continue their bizarre pattern of bad season, great season, bad season, ________. Meanwhile this is simply a must-win game for Scott Frost and Nebraska, and one can't help but remember their week 0 upset loss at Illinois last year. Whoever loses this game will surely have a bad year.

4:00pm EST - Wyoming @ Illinois - BTN
Featuring another Big Ten West opponent, although this game should be a bit of a snoozer. Wyoming are Idaho Potato Bowl Champs, but only by weaseling into a bowl game with a brain-dead non-conference schedule and then going 2-6 in the Mountain West conference. Props to Illinois for moving this game to Week 0 though, this means in Week 1 they will be playing their second game of the season while their opponent, Indiana, will be opening their season. And like Nebraska/Northwestern, whoever loses the Illinois/Indiana game will likely have a bad season.

7:00pm EST - Charlotte @ FAU - CBSSN
A Conference-USA match-up featuring two teams that went 5-7 last year. Purdue plays FAU in Week 4, which would be the only reason for us to pay attention to this game. Maybe FAU plays well in this game and takes a big step forward in the third season under Willie Taggart, who flamed out at the P5 level but was successful at two G5 programs prior to that. FAU will play at Ohio and vs UCF so there will be more tape on FAU before we face off.
