Thank goodness. I have been waiting on this for the past 6-7 years, when it was first leaked that there would be another series. This one won't be on HBO though it sounds like, but Apple TV, I believe.
The book, Masters of the Air, is what the story is based on and I have read it three times. It is a very informative, and thorough book on the 8th Air Force's history and its attacks on Nazi occupied Europe. Well worth the read if anyone is interested.
