Purdue comes from behind a couple of times and wins first set in extra points 28-26 in nail biter. Faced down 4 set points until the win. Both teams hitting over 0.400.

Purdue again comes from behind and wins 25-23. Tight back and forth for the last 10 points. Purdue has cooled off a little hitting 0.231 while Minne is at 0.205. Colvin has 7 kills hitting 0.385 with 2 Aces and 3 blks.

Boilers dominate in 3rd set 25-16 and sweep match.Minne has a lot of talent on their team but can’t seem to get it together. Meanwhile, we seem to be getting better and better.
Hudson leads in kills with 17. Colvin had 9 kills and only 2 errors along with 6 blocks. Anderson had a good game finding Colvin consistently along with Chicoine and Hudson.
Now on to Illinois which is always tough.

Heaney 7 kills in 14 attacks, no errors. That kill she put down inside the 10 foot line on the opposite side of the court in set 3, was beautiful.
Whether the stats bear this out or not, sure seemed like this was Taylor Anderson’s best match in distributing sets to many different hitters, which had the Minn defense off balance much if the match. Serve receive was outstanding.

I was very impressed with the team tonight. This was a very talented team they played although they have underperformed this year in conference play. Coming back after being being down and the back and forth of the first 2 sets. So young yet so confident and unflinching. Those 2 sets could easily gone either way but they had the composure to pull both of them out. This is such a fun team to watch.
