My least favorite coach. Still respect his work overall.
But the crybaby whining thing is wearing thin, and has been for some time. So it's great to see him get his team beat. Just outstanding.

Good coach but total crybaby the entire game - I would love to ask Painter what he thinks about his act. Thinks his team should get every single call the entire game - enjoy your flight home. Not sure what Painter’s record is against him the last few years but I absolutely love when we beat the crying Izzos - he makes it so easy to root for any team playing him.
I felt the same - especially compared to Painter's classy interview at a time out
Izzo is awful on many levels, but based on in person experience at multiple B10 tournies in the past, I disliked Crean and Bo Ryan even more. Ryan would F bomb the refs incessantly during TV timeouts rather than coaching. Easily the worst.
Today makes it 5 in a row and 9 out of last 10 in Paint's favor
I am glad that Purdue sent Spartan home, and I did not like the guy clapping on the court.
IIRC, Painter is now 18-16 against Izzo. I honestly don't know if any other coach has a winning record against him.
I think Painter is now 18-16 against Michigan State/Tom Izzo - given Michigan State's success during that period - not too shabby.
