Still working through all my stuff gathered at the Big Ten media day Friday and will have stories the next couple days from that. But real quick, I asked Hazell about the receivers, a group that he's eager to see produce for a lot of reasons.

"I looked at us running the other day and I started shaking my head. That group looks better than any group I’ve ever coached. Looks better running than any group I’ve ever coached. Now, they’ve got to play like that. But they were all 6-2, 6-4, lean and could run. You haven’t seen what you’re going to see yet."

That last sentence is a bit cryptic, and I think he's referring to one or both of the walk-on receivers, who are taller, bigger guys. We'll have his thoughts on Burgess in the notebook later.

I know Hazell takes a bunch of crap on here -- some merited -- for hyperbolic statements. This one could be another of those. But it definitely says something generally about how he feels about the sheer athleticism/eye test of the group.
