Game day is here!
Purdue has a chance to clean its palate from last week’s loss. The goals: Build momentum by dominating a FCS foe. The Boilermakers need to control this game from the jump, put their boot on the Sycamores’ neck and take care of business. Purdue needs confidence and mojo before he plays at Syracuse next week in what’s shaping up as a tough game.
Ideally, the Boilermakers win … and avoid major injury. It also would nice to see a lot of players in action, like at UConn last season.
Purdue will play today with two wideouts: Elijah Canion and Abdur-Rahmaan Yaseen. And Broc Thompson may or not play. Game-time decision, per Jeff Brohm. That should create ample opportunity for Charlie Jones. And, Tyrone Tracy, who wasn’t a main cog in the attack last week. Will that change today? I think he needs to be a main hub for the offense to really purr.
I also wanna see if WR Deion Burks is used more, and if fellow WR Mershawn Rice can build off his promising debut.
And will Purdue look to pound the rock? The pass rush gets another shot to be refined.
What do you think are keys to today’s game? Will Purdue hang a “50 burger” on ISU?
Sound off!
