So GM says they're going 100% electric by 2035. Have to assume most if not all other car companies are planning the same. I have questions:
1. Seems like the most you can go on a charge is 400 miles? How are families going to travel on vacation? Drive for 5 hours then sit for an hour while your battery charges? That's a no for most families.
2. Where are these battery charging stations going to go and who's going to pay for them? You can fill up a tank of gas in just a couple of minutes and be on your way. At best, charging is going to take 30 minutes - where all of these cars going to park for 30/60 minutes to charge? Every charging lot would have to be huge.
3. Will drivers have to pay for charges while away from home? Does paying for these charges turn off potential buyers? Who wants to pay more for an electric car AND pay again to charge?
4. What happens to the millions of batteries that get discarded every year?
5. What's the environmental net gain by swapping gasoline for batteries?
6. Does all of the middle east go bankrupt? Will this cause terrorism to dramatically increase?
