Today, the harrowing 28-26 win over FAU.

Marcus Mbow (RG) 61
Eric Miller (LT) 61
Mahamane Moussa (LT/XTE) 27
Sione Finau (RG) 11

GRADES AND SUCH
• Devin Mockobee was Purdue's highest-graded offensive player, in part because of a great grade In the passing game and a solid game in pass protection, which has not been a strength for Purdue's running backs. Dylan Downing and Kobe Lewis again graded poorly in that regard.

• Great pass-blocking grade for left tackle Eric Miller, left guard Spencer Holstege and left tackle Mahamane Moussa.

Hartwig, Holstege and Moussa were 2-3-4 on Purdue's grade hierarchy and Miller was sixth.

Over 71 snaps — the whole game — Daniel Johnson was Purdue's lowest-graded high-volume-snaps player, but even then, he didn't grade terribly overall.

• Austin Burton grades were solid.

PASSING GAME
• With Austin Burton at QB, Purdue only attempted one pass of 20-plus yards in the air and was 6-of-8 on passes behind the line of scrimmage.

• Burton threw the ball away three times and was victimized by one drop.

• Burton's passing chart ...
Clean: 18-22, 140, TD, INT
Pressured: 3-7, 26, 2 TD
No Blitz: 12-17, 88, TD, INT
Blitz (12 snaps): 9-12, 78, 2 TD (great grade)

Concept ...
Playaction: 3-7, 19, TD (Best grade)
No Playaction: 18-22, 147, 2 TD, INT
Screen (7 snaps): 5-6, 8
No Screen: 16-23, 158, 3 TD, INT

Running Game
• Purdue averaged 11.8 yards on six attempts running off the left end, which would factor in some of the option success Purdue had with Burton at QB.

That was three attempts for 52 yards for Downing and one for 12 for Mockobee.

• Purdue averaged 3.2 yards after contact.

• Ten targets for Charlie Jones even without Aidan O'Connell out there.

• FAU missed — or was forced to miss — 13 tackles.

PURDUE DEFENSE
Snap Counts

Prince Boyd 16
Mo Omonode 15

Jacob Wahlberg 36
Semisi Fakasiieiki 30

Secondary
Sanoussi Kane all 76
Cam Allen all 76
Cory Trice all 76
Jamari Brown all 76
Chris Jefferson 74

GRADES AND STUFF
• Jacob Wahlberg was Purdue's highest-graded defender in the first extensive action he's seen. Chris Jefferson and Branson Deen were second and third.

• Mediocre grades all across the secondary other than Jefferson, with Sanoussi Kane's and Cam Allen's tackling grades being poor, after each were credited with four missed tackles. Those were eight of Purdue's nine misses.

• Purdue didn't record a sack. But Deen and Kydran Jenkins generated a pair of pressures each.

• This was a little surprising: FAU averaged only 1.88 yards after contact in the running game.

• FAU averaged 9.4 yards on seven rushing attempts over left end, but that was almost all quarterback N'Kosi Perry.

• Perry was 5-of-7 on throws of 20 yards or more in the air, for 126 yards and a touchdown No bueno.

• This shows as Purdue having blitzed on only five pass snaps, with Perry being 4-of-4 passing for 47 yards on those plays, averaging nearly 12 yards per attempt.
