Each week, we'll take a look back at Purdue's most recent game through PFF data and analytics.

Today, the Boilermakers' 20-10 win at Minnesota.

GRADES AND SUCH
• Best game of the season, we think, for Purdue's running backs, as Devin Mockobee was Purdue's top-graded player and Dylan Downing fourth.

• On the offensive line, Gus Hartwig graded second-best on the team and his second-best grade of the season after just Indiana State, which is hardly relevent. Daniel Johnson, over 59 snaps at right tackle, graded very well.

• No real bad grades but Aidan O'Connell didn't have his usual game grades-wise. Two INTs will do that. And Payne Durham was the offense's lowest-graded player, uncharacteristically, in part because of a sketchy run-blocking grade on a day when Purdue ran the ball very well.

• Purdue's running backs haven't done a great job this season in pass protection, but both Mockobee and Downing graded very well in that regard against Minnesota, suggesting in-season improvement.

PURDUE PASSING GAME
• Purdue hit just the one pass that traveled 20 or more yards in the air on only three attempts, as Minnesota obviously schemed to keep everything in front of them.

• Aidan O'Connell's passing profile ...
Clean: 22-32, 184, 2 INT
Pressure: 5-8, 15 yards (worst grade)
No Blitz: 20-31, 141, INT
Blitz: 7-9, 58 (best grade)

• Concept ...
Playaction 7-10, 52 (best grade)
No Playaction 20-30, 147, 2 INT (very mediocre grade, because of two picks)
Screen: 4-4, 13
No screen 23-36, 186, 2 INT

• Purdue was 15-17 passing between zero and 10 yards. Beyond 10 yards, just 6-16. This was a very atypical blueprint for Purdue.

• Only one drop for Purdue, attributed to TJ Sheffield.

• Purdue recorded 70 yards after the catch, a modest number by their standards.

• Seven targets and six completions throwing to the running backs, which might have just been specific to this game, but they have been much more involved the past two games.

Running Game
• Purdue averaged a robust 4.87 yards after contact, roughly double what they've been averaging. Mockobee averaged more than seven yards after contact, thanks to the big hitter.

• Jenkins generated four pressures against Tanner Morgan and Branson Deen three.

• Only six missed tackles for Purdue, three by Cam Allen.
