Football game. First game was Purdue at Notre Dame in 1947. I can recall being in the stadium and Purdue losing. I as 5 then and my first Ross-Ade game was 1951 against Iowa. Sat on west side and it was an exciting back and forth contest decided by a Dale Samuels TD pass. Saw the 1952 Bucket victory over the Hoosiers. My next game was 6-0 upset of # 1 MSU in 1953. Flew to East Lansing for the 1954 game vs MSU and again we won. Saw 1-2 games a year until 1966 when I purchased my first season tickets. I missed a number of years once I got into sports, but have had season tickets continuously since late 1990’s. The beginning of every game is a spiritual experience as I reflect over those 75 years and recall family and friends I have loved and lost. Especially my Dad who introduced me to Purdue early in my life. Thank you Pops!
