Which came first? Where our Boilermakers worked, of course. By nine years.

So did our “World’s Largest Drum.” 100 years old vs. 50. And they had to buy theirs used. From original Big Ten member Chicago. Still radioactive from the Manhattan Project.

In 1869, Purdue was founded … and Texas had just finished announcing the end of slavery. After losing that thar war. Took so long to get the word out, they’ve made it a national holiday.

“Remember the Alamo.” Yeah. Who got wiped out? Remember the Alamodome. We never lost there. Ditto for the Astrodome. But we’ll never forget the 1990 screw job in the Hoosier Dome.

Texas gave us Drew Brees. Truly wonderful. Texas also gave us Fred Akers.

Boilermakers vs. Longhorns. Where’s the beef?

Crazy but true. Chicago stored it near the wrong pile. No wonder Texas named it “Big Bertha.”
