Just got a text from receiver Dan Monteroso and he said "I just made it official today" that he won't return to Purdue for his senior season.
We'll see if he elaborates. Not sure he knows where he's headed just yet.
Could have been a factor as a punt returner this season but likely would have had a hard time cracking the two-deep to get significant snaps on offense.
Interesting, though, this was probably his best spring/camp of his career this past March/April. He caught the ball more consistently than he has and seemed to really have fun during practices. Maybe he played so loose, though, because he knew he was on his way out. Who knows?
