Wow, you can’t give up that sack

Bummer man! Bama wins again. There is only one reason Georgia lost and I don't even need to mention the details. It was painfully obvious all night long. Too bad! Not exactly sure why I care, I guess I am just sick of Alabama. Sort of like Duke in basketball. :)

Wow....what a finish.....gotta give some credit to the Empire.....errr Alabama. After missing a fairly routine FG attempt to win.....then taking a huge sack on first down in OT.....the play of the year. Tua Tagovailoa....kid sits all year, then comes in and does that.......impressive talent and an embarrassment of riches in Tuscaloosa.

I still don't like two teams from any conference in the play-off, but c'est la vie.

Ehh, I'd have had an issue if it was two teams from the same division in the same conference. Georgia and Alabama hadn't played during the regular season or in the conference championship. My guess is had they, the one who was ranked lower likely would have been left out for tOSU. Had tOSU not dropped their game to Iowa and PSU only loses to tOSU..would you have been a fan of two teams from the East get in over a one loss Wisconsin team from the West? That likely would have been the nightmare scenario the CFP committee didn't want to have.....a one loss tOSU team playing and beating a previously undefeated Wisconsin team and then having PSU likely sitting at one loss themselves....along with what looked like it could have two SEC teams and an ACC team vying to get in. THAT would have been an absolute nightmare and likely would have caused an almost immediate end to the 4 team playoff and gone to a 6 team playoff with the top two seeds receiving bye games.

Same division, opposite divisions....doesn't matter to me, but I hear what you're saying, JDB. Heck, LSU/Alabama already did the same division tango when it was just the BCS and only the top two teams. I think in your scenario, maybe the Big Ten champion would have been selected. Now to be fair, I didn't think Ohio State deserved to get in last year or in 2014, so maybe it evens out in the end.

All things considered, I think you could make an argument that Penn State was probably the strongest team in the conference.....but they didn't execute down the stretch in their two losses.

Also, I've maintained the same thing with your last point. If there is an expansion, it should be 6 with 1/2 getting byes.....and I would add the one team per conference rule.....but I'm old school and a bit of a dinosaur thinking about conferences.

I know what you're saying about being an old school dinosaur. It rankle me a bit to see Oklahoma and Georgia in the Rose Bowl. Gonna piss me off when Brohm gets Purdue into the playoffs and they have to go somewhere other than Pasadena.

More likely would be us making a NY6 bowl game and it being in a year where the Rose Bowl is in the rotation for the playoff.

Just being realistic!
