Sorry PA but that egregious error on the goal tend non-call cost the Cats a bucket, a two free throws, and a possession at a critical juncture. As it turned out it cost them too much time to recover. Would they have won if it were called correctly? I don't know, but I do know it pretty much eliminated the opportunity.
The rim hanging thing, while stupid, was insignificant.
If it was Zaga do you really think it would have been called? Sorry, but it seemed clear to me those officials were not going to let Zaga get beat...and while I have seen some really poor officiating this year, this is the one time I truly believed the referees motives were sincerely questionable instead of just being bad officials. How all 3 of them could be blind to that hand in the net and through the cylinder is simply not credible.
i find it hard to believe ALL of them missed that call. That's like the thin blue line crap where they won't call out another's mistake. Just trash officiating, but let's not pretend it's usually good. I would be a huge fan of one challenge flag per half. I mean that is just insane to have that go against you.

Yes, but he missed both FTs. The "block" was a 4 point swing and a huge momentum changer.
That plus the total bullshit of the intentional foul is another four points. That's more than the margin of victory for Gonzaga.
Not disputing what it was. Just felt like one missed call had a significant impact on the outcome and the other didn't. I have no skin in the game so no big deal. Sorry if I was offensive in some way.

That official gets the worst call of the year award besides bringing in the question of a fix!!!
you were not offensive, I'm just tired of all this NW love w/ ex dookie Collins and "Mr. I'll Take over the game" MacIntosh. The other day on the back page of that rag the N Y Post they have a collage of all the name coaches in the Dance and they include Collins, we win the Big 10 and our coach isn't included. Plus throw in the constant showing of the actress from that dumb sitcom.
Got it. Yes Northwestern is a huge producer of media/entertainment professionals so I'm afraid this is how it will be. Kind of like ESPN's love of Syracuse.
I just made a drinking game out of them showing Dreyfus or that poor emotional kid....also, Seinfeld was awesome.
Understand the frustration Pa, but I remember my Daddy always saying it's better to walk softly and carry a big stick into Basketball Tourneys. So hang in there...our boys have our backs!!!
