I have often thought a "Toilet Bowl" game would be entertaining. Get some plumbing fixtures company to sponsor it along with various toilet related supply vendors (toilet paper, cleaner, etc.).
The premise is you select two of the more entertaining teams with losing records to play.
Now, if the "toilet bowl" is too negative then a Lowes/Home Depot Rebuilding Bowl" could be used instead.
My questions are these:
1. Would a college team play in such a bowl?
2. Would fans travel to such a game?
3. Would people watch such a game?
4. Does this send the wrong message?
If done right, I think this could work.
My thoughts. . .
1. Yes, schools would go to take the extra $ and practice.
2. Yes, if schools goes so will so fans.
3. Yes, MSNBC proves people will watch anything and if it were early in the line ups when no other games were on the yes, sports fan would watch.
4. Likely sends the wrong message of rewarding mediocre play.
