Even if painter did recruit him out of high school, doesn't mean painter would still want him. A lot more data on him now. And as evidenced by many of the responses here, it's not good data. Not necessarily sour grapes.

I went back and looked at his recruitment and there is no indication we were interested. I think Deuce is thinking that he (Deuced) wanted him. I recall no threads on here about it, but maybe some of you do.

You can't go back far enough Math. I checked also, You can't go back to his recruitment days. I'm not going to argue about how many wanted him. But, if you're saying nobody posted commentary about wanting him, you're wrong. Crean won't be fired, Blackmon won't come here...so we're basically debating a mute point. But, then, it's what we seem to do here. LOL

Yep. IMO, anyone saying "no" doesn't think Painter could rein him in. Only a fool would recruit him, then, as I suspect, just because he went to our rival, now he's not good enough. Everyone here wanted him. Bragged about his HS talent. Now, because the Clown down South couldn't get anything out of him? I've been saying forever it seems that Crean is a terrible coach. Heck yes I would take him. I just think he's being utilized poorly. You put him in for 5 minute spurts and run set plays for him. Compensate on D if needed, but he'll be less tired bc of short spurts. Also, I'm a genius.

Blackmon would've transferred by now if he did come to Purdue originally. People keep saying he needs reigned in, all of the players we have had that needs to be reigned in transferred before they got reigned in. I think Painter has also figured that out and focuses on team first guys from the start.

So no, I would not want Blackmon on a one year rental because are history with these types of players are not good.
