Lose to Arizona/Louisville and beat the other teams we played, or have the resume we have now? What's better in the committees eyes? Two top 20 wins, or two unranked losses?

I'd take what we have right now over the alternative.

I'm not pleased with the team's we lost to but the wins are solid and nobody is running the table this year.

Let’s hope AZ and UL start playing better basketball or those aren’t going to be top 20 wins at the end of the season. I’m not sure there is much separating those teams from Tennessee. But mostly in the sense that Tennessee is pretty good. WKU is our only true “bad loss”.

Arizona is going to be PAC12 Champ. Louisville will be a contender in the ACC, even without Pitino.

It comes down to will Tennessee be good, and will WKU be good.

tennesse and WKU both look decent

Arizona has to bounce back right? but they almost lost to unlv

Louisville just lost at home to seton hall, I would be supprised if they conted for the ACC they just do not have much skill on thier roster

at the end of the Day I don't think besides who you played and what your record is matters, where you actually lost and won doesn't matter much.

Not sure about the selection committee, but the talking heads tend to value good wins paired with bad losses over easy wins paired with good losses.

Look at last year ! Purdue had a lot of great wins, and a lot of wins.. but that loss to Iowa carried a lot more weight in the NCAA seeding. Without that loss, Purdue could have been a #2 or #3 seed and played at Indy!

Whether we lost that game or not we were probably going to be a 4.

Louisville better start "paying for performance" instead of just for signing. Might want to start a reward system with hookers too........oh wait.....they tried that.......

I think the WKU one is the one that stings. UT will do well this year. If AZ rights the ship, too much talent not to, and Louis Ville dose what they normally do, it will look pretty good on paper. Obviously winning is better but nobody is going undefeated anymore. No point looking back except to learn the lesson.

WKU is up to 35 in RPI now, so that is helpful to us. Whether or not RPI is useful in and of itself is another matter but the selection committee uses it so it's important. And I think WKU is up to 110 or so in KenPom, they were about 200 when we played them. So as long as they keep playing like they are, my guess is they will be a 75-100 KenPom team and top 70ish RPI. Not a bad loss at the end of the season.

Let’s hope the confidence gained with the win over our mighty Boilers propels them to season greatness!
