I agree that it was a classless post from Heller, but I have to admit...I always chuckle out loud when someone says "throat punch."
Why do I feel that the inevitable end to all hunk threads is deletion or at least a good name calling session?
Hey, it's my fault. I was trying to be glib without knowing or looking up Josh. I do think the OP might have given us a clue as to why, but I still take the blame.
You might have told us why we would need to do something "special" in your OP. I suppose it was just your special method of being a dick too.
I have no idea who Josh is or what his brain injury was. I will bet 99% of the people on this board would not have known either. It is great he is back playing basketball and all, but WTF? "sack of shit"? I think you are being a bit of a self-rightious prick.
99% of people on this board not knowing who Josh is, is likely exaggerated. I've never lived in Indiana, and I know who the kid is. Plenty of people across the nation have made the #JoshStrong hashtag pretty well-known. With that being said, Heller has apologized...let's move on.
The only reason I knew was because I have a twitter account and Cline posted pictures of them together after the accident. Most people wouldn't know the situation. Mulligans are in order I think. I pray he gets better.

I don't think it's crazy to think that a good chunk - if not the majority - of people posting on a basketball message board for a team located in Indiana would be at least generally aware of Josh Spediel or his situation given that he's from Indiana as well. If Heller wasn't aware of who he was, he could have simply asked rather than give a flippant response. Credit him for owning it and apologizing though. He's a big boy and took Hunk's "throat punch" comment like a man... case closed.

Not as an excuse, but I truly did not know this story. I should have googled it before I tried to make a joke. Totally my fault there. At the time it happened I was dealing with the loss of my Brother in AZ.
I agree, I had no idea either.
But I appreciate your stepping right up and taking the blame for the unfortunate situation. So many here want to blame others. The OP could have been more clear but you did not slip to the level of many and manned up. I commend you for that!
