Hear me out on this thought process. Just curious as to what others think. First, let me say this, I really wanted to land Swanigan, but only because of the recruiting hype and what it would mean for recruiting. Another poster said it best about Biggie the recruit not Biggie the player.
When we first started recruiting him, I thought no way we get him. He has Michigan State written all over him. He is a power 4, below rim 4. Screams Michigan State. Then as i thought about it further, if he is only going to be 1 year guy (which not sure he is), I didn't really care as long as AJH stayed and Taylor got healthy. I wasn't crazy about having to play Edwards at the 3 and Davis at the 2. If he stays 2 years then I think it would have been big get!
Finally, the only thing I am ticked about is that I don't feel like he ever really wanted to come here...why not? Was he hurt because of the timing of the offer? I don't think we really were ever seriously considered by him and maybe even by his entire camp.....definite politicking and grandstanding going on For sure. I think it was Mich St from the get go. That or Brian is one heck of a fictional writer.....that's a joke, put the pitchforks down! I feel he only can report what he is told.
