Earlier threads about wingspan got me interested in researching it further.

Wingspan is defined as the distance from fingertip to fingertip with arms spread.

Reportedly our three big men next year have wingspans of 7'5" (Haas), 7" 3.5" (Swanigan) and 7" 3" (Hammond).

To give a comparison, here are some noted players with reported wingspans

Manute Bol 8'6"
Wilt Chamberlain 7'8"-8'4"
Kevin McHale. 8'
BeeJay Anya (NC State). 7'9"
Rudy Gilbert (Jazz) 7'9"
Shaq. 7'7"
Dwight Howard. 7'5"
Kevin Durant. 7'5"
Noah Vonleh. 7'4"
Cody Zeller. 6'11"

Just for the record, the longest verified wingspan belonged to Robert Wadlow of Illinois who, when he died at age 22, was 8'11" tall with a measued wingspan of 9'6"!

Thought for the day: "People who get a lot done don't have time to boast about their accomplishments while those who don't, do."
