Purdue is coming off three knock-down drag-out wins against quality teams. Valpo is 8-0.

Hopefully, this is where a senior-led team will really help Purdue stay focused.

I can't say I've seen a minute of Crusaders bball yet this year, but they earned a mention from Katz in his look back at last week: http://www.ncaa.com/news/basketball-men/article/2017-12-03/andy-katz-college-basketballs-weekly-superlatives-dec-4

Making a good impression:
Valparaiso is in its first season in the Missouri Valley, replacing the departed Wichita State. The Crusaders are off to an 8-0 start after beating Utah State. The Crusaders have a couple of scorers who can go off in Tevonn Walker and Bakari Evelyn, who scored 25 and 30, respectively, in the last two games. Valpo will get to prove itself on a more national stage this week at nearby Purdue.

No question. Maybe I should have said, will this be a trap game? It's early, but Valpo has the look of a top-100 team, and Purdue has just come through three physical meat grinders.
It’s also an in-state opponent, which usually means that they have this game circled on their schedule and will come ready to play. I feel like Purdue got Northwestern’s best shot and will get the same from Valpo.

That's exactly right. Purdue has grown in stature to the point where other teams really get up for us, and Valpo will be a quintessential example of that. We need to treat this like a conference game and take care of business.

Every game is a test - I agree with this! Should PU win yes will they is yet to be seen.
