If it is not on 11/26, then 11/27 back in West Lafayette, IN. Coaching staff selection and simultaneous recruiting to get some additional recruits will be too important to wait till bowl games are underway.

I'm going a step further on the limb and will say it will be:
1) Les Miles
2) Kevin Sumlin
3) PJ Fleck

Les has big upside in he has likely got a staff in the wings ready to go.
Sumlin will like the coming home party and to stop getting the nagging from the $EC fans
Fleck would like a P5 chance and would likely build and move on in 4-6 years.
All three will head the Football team in the right direction.

No. guys can't interview until their seasons are over. Unless they don't have a current gig that is...

Don't be so dense.

We fired our coach as a PR move to get our name out there. Little has actually gone on besides contacting agents and backchanneling conversations.

Your a rude person and are quite dense as well with little to no sense of how contracts work in the business world. I'll call you out on this. Look at history of Purdue Football. Joe Tiller was hired on November 22, 1996 just one day prior to the end of the season where Purdue was beaten by I.U. 33-16. Joe's quote, "`We Will Win Again' A new era in Purdue football began Nov. 22, 1996, when Tiller was introduced as the school's 33rd head football coach."

Agree that those not in contract can be contacted anytime (Les Miles). Those under contract can be contacted thru the University's permission which can be done, and is normal procedure to allow the coaches to discuss opportunities that they may have in their contract language. I.E. Kevin Sumlin. That makes two of three mentioned candidates a possibility. The remaining candidate is PJ Fleck at $800K per year. Buyout the remaining contract and all is well thru Western Michigan to part ways and PJ Fleck would be happy to make upwards of $2.5 to $3 Million per year.
Purdue's hiring of recruiting search firm indicates they are more serious to get a coach sooner vs. later.

I'm not willing to bet cold cash, but will say again. "This will happen on or near November 26, 2016."
The new hire may not be any of these three, but all three candidates are fair game and can/will be contacted even if they are under contract.
It allows time for a full coaching staff to make transition before the Christmas/New Year holiday. New coach and staff will have a month long of making additional contacts of H.S. players to keep who we have and make other extended scholarships that have opened up to high profile athletes to de-commit away from any coaching carousel changes in the Big Ten, SEC, Big 12, Pac 10 etc. Mark that down, stick it in your pipe and smoke it!

Speaking to the basketball premium seat holders before Monday night's game, Bobinski said two or three times that Purdue was not going to intrude on any other program while that program's season was still in progress.

If that is the case, then 11/27 annoucement. My point stands they'll have the selection complete and a contract signed that weekend. Coaches will be talked to after the Purdue/I.U. game when the bus arrives back to Mollenkopf Athletic Center. There will be a sense of urgency to this to get the best candidate possible and not let others steal the one Purdue wants.
