Will Texas A&M be firing their coach now?

Northern Iowa lost their ball handler late to injury and had struggles putting A&M away. Iowa was up 11 with 1:11 to play. A&M cut it to 2 with 11.8 to go. Now tied and in OT. A&M went on a 14-2 run in 1:11.

I left that headliner up there as an example of another team doing a worst collapse in the tourney then Purdue. IT HAPPENS. It's the NCAA... Whatever team loses will not be firing their head coach.

You don't know it's not a pattern with other teams unless you have some data to prove it. Just thinking other teams haven't blown a few leads does not make it true. I see some posters on here make these comments and then later ask when the shot clock changed from 35 to 30 seconds.

Current coach Billy Kennedy has been there 5 years. 2 years ago, they won 1 game in the CBI. Last year, 1 win in the NIT. This year, an SEC title and 2 wins in the NCAA (so far) with a chance to play OU in a few days to go to the Elite 8. Even had they lost, they have still progressed greatly these last few years. So last 3 years for A&M = 1 league title and 2 NCAA wins (could be more). Last 3 years for CMP and Purdue = 0 and 0.

We were not a mediocre basketball team. Period. End of story. Qualify it however you want by saying that you're just talking about the coach or whatever. You are proving my point that your opinion really can't be taken seriously by anyone who knows basketball.

I have a comparison - Jay Wright and Nova - they have been way better than Purdue in Conference for a number of years now and have collapsed very early for years until this year when they finally made the Sweet 16. Should he have been fired? No way. I know the last two years have been especially frustrating and maybe I'm just optimistic but I still like our chances next year with Haas, Biggie, Edwards, Mathias/Cline, and Edwards/Thompson.

Patterns are not coincidences.
