Why Trump Needs to Drain the Swamp

Quite an allegation.......
Please document the police or FBI who are investigating Gaetz of this moment?

Also still waiting for you to document where you objected to 1 DEM cabinet appointment....the way you have these Rs.
These allegations have been out for a long time. Police enforcement of some sort is investigating this for sure. State and local for sure.

Isn't Congress currently investigating and folks are calling for them to release the report.

It's a moot point now. But until the case is dropped and/or until the statute of limitations is over whatever law enforcement agency has jurisdiction will continue looking at it.

I believe Linda Darnell acted as the love interest to several Hollywood Stars. They were later annoyed when they found out she was only 15. Gaetz broke off with the 17-year-old when he found out her age. However, the ongoing research shows there was no case.

I agree that the military-industrial complex and globalist corporations fund the PACs that choose who to run for President and tell the Swamp politicians how to vote. The way to stop the corruption is to outlaw insider trading, tell them they can't own the media, have Vivek and Elon expose the pork, and investigate all Swamp creatures living outside their means.

The very fact that Matt has attacked those who were a cancer should be the reason everyone, whether R or D, should be excited about the prospect of curtailing the graft and corruption in DC. I can give a rat's behind whether they are prosecuted. Just curtail it!!!

This reminds me of the idiocy of the so-called journalists who kept asking Trump if he wants Ukraine to win the war. Trump kept saying that he wants to end the war and stop the killing.

So why is she not a DEI hire like y’all call black women when they get selected for something? Why aren’t you underestimating or undervaluing Bondi like y’all do black women?

Here's the difference. Biden targets DEI hires. He considered no one other than a black woman to be his VP. Trump picked a loyal executive for Dept of Ed who happens to be a woman.

Biden never targeted black men for Def Secretary. But yet Lloyd Austin, with extensive military leadership background, is still called a DEI hire. Coach Walters is considered a DEI hire. On and on. Justice Ketanji Brown. As soon as she was announced that she was chosen to be justice folks here immediately attacked her intelligence. Yet her qualifications that preceded her was comparable or superseded the other justices including Uncle Clarence Thomas. Speaking of which, since he was nominated by a Republican president, I never hear anyone say that he was a DEI hire.

Please don't play dumb on this. Biden announced that he would pick a black VP BEFORE he chose one. That's the difference. He did the same thing with Justice Ketanji Brown. Biden announced he would pick a black woman BEFORE he chose Brown. In both cases, being a black woman was a prerequisite for the job.

Well Brown being unable to answer the question what is a woman didn’t give people much confidence in her selection. She being called a DEI hire is probably why.

The black women that Biden considered and ultimately chose, the qualifications that pre-seeded them were outstanding particularly compared to the predecessors.

I didn't say they weren't qualified and they may indeed have been "outstanding" but Brown was clearly a DEI hire. Biden announced he would consider no one other than a black woman for the job. That's a DEI hire. Period. Squeal and distort and evade all you wish. That doesn't change the fact that this was a DEI hire.

Coach Walters is not a DEI hire. He was a woefully under prepared hire. Doesn't matter what color a coach is, if he/she produces the same results they should be removed. If he/she is successful, their hiring should have been based on qualifications. Clearly our AD failed in the vetting process.

Isn't the argument against DEI hires is that they aren't qualified and only got the job because of DEI? If they're qualified what's the point? Just to complain about DEI?

There were fools on the football forum that did call Walters a DEI hire. People do this every time a black person in leadership roles fail. Notre Dame fans were saying the same thing when they were struggling for a while. When a white person on a leadership roll fails, nothing derogatory is said.

BS. It not circular logic. You don't have an answer or don't want to answer.

If Biden doesn't say he's hiring a black woman and then hires one who is qualified, is that DEI? Is the the question of qualification not the determining factor here? Not whether he announced it or not?

What seems clear is you want to label hiring of minorities as DEI regardless of whether they are qualified or not.

an educated guess is that a hand was not shown to be a preference...like I'm going to hire a black female...along with the first choice that couldn't be described as DEI person. Biden did that with his justice saying he wanted a black female for the bench...not proposing to appoint the best, but to fill a demographic as though there is some significance in that demographic that someone might choose.

Can you honestly say that Hegseth, Gaetz, and RFK Jr are the best of the best for the cabinet positions that they were selected for?

One name B....Condi Rice, whom I'd guess you hated.
Nope. I actually like Condeleeza Rice. Colin Powell as well. There are/were not black grifters. Was Rice a DEI hire? Most republicans will say no. This DEI stuff seems to only apply to dems selections.

Here is the thing I don't think I got through. Whether they are or are not, there was no proclamation that someone was picked outside of the best choice and chosen as a result of DEI. You may, and others may have different perspectives on who was the best, but nobody has a reason to suggest that DEI was in play since it was never a consideration. THAT is a huge problem! When identity politics are a priority not only as a major platform of the democratic party, but when prefigured prior to an appointment of course DEI is a thought held by many. Had identity politics not been in play and had there not been a public statement with preference to identity politics, then most would not have DEI enter their minds. I don't recall Condi with her accomplishments being considered a DEI.

Now relative to the three you listed. I don't have the insight and relative background to know who was best to address the major mandates the public wanted as a result of the overwhelming percent of people that wanted a few things having a major change like the border, economy, crime and the threat of all chaos in all the wars, and other countries that might explode as well since the USA has no leadership.

Hegseth apparently has a good academic background and actual experience in war and military in general as well as his distinguished service. He might not be the best, but who is then? I don't know.

Most of the country realized the politicization of the DOJ, FBI and CIA used against Trump and other conservative causes...even going back to Obama in targeting with the IRS conservatives. Gaetz would be a bulldog to clean up THAT mess as well. However, it is possible that Trump put him out there as a lightening rod from the libs figuring what happened would and now has Bondi that could be just as tough and will fly through since the dems already shot their wad and Trump had to submit another. Course Gaetz could serve with Bondi and not need approval.

Kennedy , that in spite of the anti-vax stance on many things has always been interested in health as well as wanting to see the files on the deaths of Bobby and John...which now that the country has seen first hand the lying and unethical activities of the FBI and such no doubt has rekindled the desire to know more of what was not to be released until we that were alive at the time are dead. We have a major health problem in this country and the food industry and its lobbyists are culprits. Of course there are others that others would prefer...that is always the case...but there is NONE that would compare to the disasters Biden appointed relative to DEI...and Trannies in particular. Could Kennedy be nearly as bad as this?

understand what I wrote. I don't think I'm getting through what I wish you read. The democrat platform is about identity politics which is DEI. By THAT very nature coupled with the prefiguration of what will be as a result of DEI it will always be in the minds of appointments by democrats that have already announced that as a priority. Conversely, the republicans look at the individual and has never sold out to DEI, which by the way (DEI) also hurts qualified minorities by not having merit as the goal. THE dems promote DEI, rather than merit, and reap the consequences as a result.

To select a black man to be Sec of Defense was never announced. Biden selected a black man with extensive credentials. Yet the repubs still call him a DEI hire. Biden never said that he was going to select a black person for press secretary. Yet Pierre is deemed a DEI hire.

Again you bring up merit. Chumps picks for the cabinet was obviously not based on merit. Instead of picking cabinet members that will actually run the departments. He selected yes men and women regardless of experience to so call “clean things up”. On top of all of this, none of these picks are black. This is just another example of the Republican Party being the party of white supremacy. Just like the RNC convention, the cabinet picks do not represent the racial/ethnic makeup of America.

If the people want an overhaul and want major changes in a few areas, and they do...how much more merit is needed than those that will accomplish such? Or should he want people to oppose his and the people's desires for major change in his picks? I know what the swamp wants and understand why. The press secretary may not be a DEI hire, but it sure checks a LOT of boxes and he never added diversity by picking another dumb one. You see when everything is Intersectionality for a party then picks start out with a DEI concern until shown different. Your party created this as a means of division...and they were successful.

The people took being told that it was most important to be diverse or be called a racist until they decided it was more important to pull together as a country without worrying about emphasizing differences.

As a stand alone, diversity is neither good or bad, but when you search for it then you not only may miss the best, but may also miss the best minority. How can someone pretend that merit actually exists inside DEI if they understand equity?

I used to listen to Redd Fox records, so naturally, I watched his show, Sandford and Sons. There was one scene where he had something serious, so he had to go to a Hospital. In walked a black doctor and asked for a doctor who was not a DEI hire.

Compare that to Carol O'Connor, who went off the wall with his show when a black woman doctor showed up but proved she was more than capable.

The bottom line is there is systemic racism, but starting in 2025, blacks have to realize they have to work a little harder to show that they are capable. Instead of seeing this as being a victim, they need to use this as motivation that they can overcome. This mentality needs to sweep the nation that, yes, there has been propaganda and political prosecution. Still, we as a nation must use this as motivation to clean up the graft and corruption, not as revenge or retribution.

By the way, I am sorry Gaetz stepped down. I think Trump is trying to put in good communicators who will blow the lid off of their department's bureaucracy, graft, and corruption while having experienced assistants to ensure they get the job done correctly and not make changes just for the sake of making change. In this case, I would love to have Bondy fortify Gaetz, but the bottom line is that I agree that she will do a great job.

There is no 'systemic racism.' It is a hobgoblin within your head.
Nope. Systemic racism is alive and well. Ask black families, selling their homes, that are currently having their homes appraised thousands and thousands less than white families. One black family in particular, had a second appraisal after removing all references of a black family living there like pictures and hair products. Then had their white friends sit on for the appraisal. The home now valued to the market value.

I can assure you that there is. It may be how the media defines it, and then I agree with you. However, people tend to seek rapport with people that they have something in common. You will see this at any large event. Where do you live, and what do you do? That also has something to do with it.

Guess what? Homes in black neighborhoods are worth less homes in areas where there is less crime; fewer drugs and less hate for crackers. That isn’t systemic racism, that is reality.

Because of cultural conditioning, in that Sanford & Son episode Fred wanted a white dentist because he thought that the white dentist was better trained. He thought the black dentist was trained through a correspondence school. It turned out that the white dentist that he wanted was trained through a correspondence course. The black dentist had superior training.
