I am all for going to the lower ranks and getting a wild card and giving him his dream shot. Putting major incentives into the package with a set of rules. Do it clean. 250,000 dollars per big ten win added bonus to whatever contract that is issued out. That can be dealt out to the coaching staff however the head coach deems necessary. With an added 500,000 dollar bonus to an appearing in a big ten title game and a 500,000 dollar bonus for a win in that game. A BCS playoff game appearance bonus of 500,000 (added 500,000 to win) and a national title game win of 1 million. That pays for itself. A title game championship, BCS, or title game would pay for itself in spades.

With that said my top choice is Chris Klieman of North Dakota State. The kind of coach that works well with Purdue is one willing to take risks. We don't need another fatso excuse maker with a loser gimp attitude rubbing off on the players or a dog and pony show. We need a winner and we need him to bring home a chicken dinner. It is as simple as that. No more of these MAC school phonies. Go get someone who wins championships at the lower ranks.

Purdue has so many options this year that many on this forum have no idea that are in play such as Chris Klieman......Fact is none of us know exactly what is going on and to this point Mbob has not tipped his hand.

This has been brought up numerous times and again I'll remind you. Kleiman isn't responsible for the NC's at NDSU. That coach was Craig Bohl who is now at Wyoming who almost won the Mountain West this season. NDSU is still stocked with Bohl's players. Arguably, NDSU has slipped slightly in the two years since Bohl's departure as they are not ranked #1 going into the FCS playoffs and their margins of victory against FCS teams is closing.

Chris Klieman is my absolute top choice. Purdue needs to get that guy right now. That man knows how the hell to set a standard and that standard is to win the damn game.

I'll take Bohl too. Those guys either of them I am fine with.

Not saying that he is the guy...only a possible option....

And I should point out that EWU's record slumped in 2015 because Vernon Adams decided to grad transfer to Oregon.

I absolutely do think Purdue needs to look at the FCS ranks 100 percent. My top choice right now is Chris Kleiman. He has lost 4 games and won several national titles. I don't care what anyone says this is the guy we need and right now. This guy does not fold. If Purdue wants a gem that slipped under radar this is the one. I am 100 percent willing to take a chance on him. Nothing any of these others have done with the exception of Bohl comes close. Kleiman was with Bohl for all 3 of his national titles and head coach for 2 of his own. His teams play solid football. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind this guy is a winner. One thing Purdue gets out of Kleiman for absolutely sure is a 100 percent END to this absolutely joke special teams effort along with an end to the disgraceful defense. His teams will play special teams and defense and that alone right there puts Purdue in 80 percent of the games it lost under Hazell. His offense will take care of itself because he knows how to put a line out there. His teams will play offense as well. But under this guy you can bet Purdue isn't going to be that team opposing teams walk all over on the football field. Only 3 teams have scored 30 or more points on his teams within the last 3 years and his teams won two of those 3 games. Zero blowouts against him. His teams compete every single week. Solid record. Solid performances all around. This guy is a get. I like his record against ranked foes. The attitude of his players is accept nothing less than the title. Regardless of what happens I want to see that attitude on Purdue's team. Let me explain it like this. Kleiman took a D1AA team that shut down, physically dominated, slap stomp shock lashed #13 Iowa AT Iowa City. Now when is the last time Purdue did that?

When is the last time Purdue held a press conference like this that sounded even remotely like the coach has a winning attitude? No mopey man. No excuses. Just win.
