The game vs villy will be a great matchup between two very good teams. Why didn't espn schedule this game for Tuesday and make it prime time?

Because Fox owns the rights to the Gavitt games and obviously wouldn't give up a marquee game to their RivaL

Then the better question is why FS1 didn't carry it. Maybe they didn't get to pick first but I think this is clearly the top game in this series and the only one on Monday night. Perhaps they didn't want to waste a pick on a game to go up against MNF?

Is FS1 in more households than BTN? Before the MLB playoffs, I'm not sure I'd ever watched anything on FS1.

I don't think so regarding the households.....FS1 has some college football games too.....ironically, with the expansion of these sports networks, it's been a contraction of good announcers/announcing. JMO

I'm not sure the answer to that specific question. I have had it for a long time but like you I do not watch it much mainly because they don't have content I typically watch. I'm assuming that will change with their splurge into Big Ten rights.

Monday rather than Tuesday is due to Nova's 11:30am tip in Charleston on Thursday.

I just don't get it. You got a top 15 matchup with the defending champs and the best they can do is the BTN.

Who cares if it's not on ESPN. ESPN isn't what it used to be and people are used to watching games on all kinds of weird channels anymore and know how to find them. Thinking about it, I rarely ever watch anything on ESPN anymore.

I did like back in the day when conference games had one of the ESPN Monday night slots.
Hated those Monday night games back in the 80's. Home team tip offs not til 9:45 eastern time due to SEC game running long, not getting home til way after midnight. Knight had that right by bitching to the Big Ten about the start times. That is why the Big Ten got moved to Tuesday nights on ESPN.
