Why do I feel like Michigan is gaming the system?

I will always be skeptical of Michigan, at least as long as a Fab 5 guy leads the program.

that being said, it would seem to me that with as bad as Michigan has been, they would want as many opportunities as possible to get marquee wins.

I guess I look at it more from a Purdue perspective. We were/ are not playing our best, so delaying a tough road game helped us at the time. If we were playing better, I would have been more p!ssed with the game being postponed. My hope is that we are playing better than they are when we make up that game. Squeezing it in though, will hurt both teams.

I guess the question is, are they practicing? If they are healthy enough to practice, they shouldn't be cancelling games.
I don't know. I don't want them getting our guys sick. Even if our guys don't get deathly ill, I don't want them sluggish or worn down for an extended period of time.

If I'm reading correctly, they don't have anyone with Covid. Seems rather convenient they would skip the harder games on their schedule. Should be a forfeit.

And F them for causing me to miss my Tuesday night Boiler festivities.

They played shorthanded @ Rutgers, then got hit with more positives and didn't have the 7 to face MSU or us

Not sure they are gaining anything by postponing these games.
Look at the schedule. Most games are 3-5 days apart. Now you have to schedule 2 make-up games in there. Probably a pretty good chance that they will have at least one stretch where they play 3 games in 5 days. There aren't huge gaps in the schedule to put make-up games.

I agree, but if they are out of quarantine and practicing the entire time that games are being cancelled, that does seem kind of fishy to me.

From the link I posted earlier:
Howard said he and his staff routinely have been checking in on the affected players, concerned about their mental and physical health. For those who can practice, Howard has been finding ways to help each individual get better, whether it’s working on shooting and free throws, or doing drills on closing out and boxing out.

That is not how I read the article. It said that they did have positive tests for Covid on the team when they returned from Orlando. It is what it is and again no direction from the NCAA. That being said I agree with you on screw Michigan. Even though watching Baylor go down last night was entertaining. USC also.

michigan played last night without dickinson and johns so it looks like they really did have health issues(covid?). otherwise why would they play short handed?

Announcers mentioned they were not game ready condition for the game. What was interesting is they actually played better without either available.... I am sure it is a coincidence.

But the pinheads of the world don't believe the almightly cdc.
We can believe them, but which CDC?

the CDC and their "science"...

What happens if Purdue has 2 players out when the game is rescheduled, does Purdue have to play at a disadvantage then? That wouldnt be fair to Purdue, but it could very well happen.

When we play them, we will give it our all and probably beat them. Great teams get it done, foul trouble, injuries, ..whatever…bring em on
