I know they are not a top 10 team.. But i thought H/C was all about having a cupcake to play? And i understand that we are other teams H/C game

Iowa went to the big ten championship last season. What more do you want?

Yep. The infamous Memorial Stadium aerial photos taken every other year during the OSU game. Used to be a running joke. Now we are the joke.

All these responses are all sad.....and painfully true!! Actually I am beyond apathy. But at least we SHOULD have 40k or so there. Of course 20k or so will be Iowa.

We don't have Rutgers on the schedule. Minnie is on the road I think. We have NW at home but later in the season (Nov) and homecoming is usually earlier. PSU is late October, again, later than homecomings typically are. So, Iowa by default. Not ideal though. Only option would have been to play NW earlier. Not sure if that was a viable option.

What's wrong with having a decent team coming in to play on homecoming? Yea we could wait for someone else and have it in worse weather at a point where we may or may not be playing for anything. At least with Iowa this week we are going into it with a winning record and still a .500 conference record. Makes the game meaningful.

Saw the Friday night game announced for next season, so looked up the entire schedule. They have Michigan slated for Homecoming on 9/23 even though Minnesota comes to down on 10/7 off a bye week. What?

next year we have michigan for hc. that should be fun.......................not
